Isi Shun, born in Japan, in 1960's.

Very interested in audio equipment  in young age. And so, took a master course of speech recognition at Waseda University.

Audio electric engineer for an electronics manufacturer company, for around 30 years after graduation from the university.

The motive to produce home page entitled "A Study of Speech Recognition based on Inner Structure"  was revive old thought, that was ,during i was a graduate student of university for a few years, i had had in my mind simple thought "How to human recognize speech? It's very mysterious." The event of my working place change to far and then seeing the university's building out of train window during go to new working place daily, revived the old thought.

When i graduated from university, in Japan also, HMM began to be popular method for speech recognition. But i believed that speech is not probability, find out some recognition mechanism which isn't discovered yet. Many years has passed. Study has a little progressed. Who feels perfect satisfaction with current speech recognition situation ?

It may be very hard to become a research profession as business. i would like to talk true thought whatever form, think and practice without restraint by business work. i hope that  home page may give you some inspiration hints at speech recognition process.

Fortunately,  my working place changed to the former again, and never see the university's building  out of train window during go to work daily.
Sky with no  cloud in autumn makes me feel refreshing in these days.
